Hail the Lord of Light, hail the Lord of Light,
May your name shine bright.
Our fathers taught us to worship and obey, never to question any word the preachers say,
Our mothers warned us, guide your children far away, this place is not safe for this one cursed day…
When suddenly darkness falls, the sun slowly turns black,
We call it the Hour Of Bloodrun and our hands colour red...
We close our eyes, we swallow the lies,
We close our eyes, we sharpen the knives.
Kneel down and bow your head, Tonatiuh is hungry
and he needs to be fed,
Kneel down and stretch your neck, we must forbear and we must accept.
We close our eyes, we sharpen the knives,
We close our eyes, we sacrifice.
When suddenly darkness falls, the sun slowly turns black,
We call it The Hour Of Bloodrun and our hands colour red...
We close our eyes, we swallow the lies,
We close our eyes, we sharpen the knives,
We close our eyes, we sacrifice,
We close our eyes, but who justifies?

I picked this one up in advance of a holiday trip. In these times I always need some softer music for my companion which rocks only a little. But SPIRAL GURU's cool 70s influenced psychedelic rock even rocks a bit more. Usually this is not my genre, stuf like Spiritual Beggars or the like, but SPIRAL GURU is definitely charming, maybe because of the female vocals. Further the songs are not too psychedelic, they have a solid catchiness. Check "Signs" or "Oracle". H.L.
